War of the Planets

blog.com doesn’t like my question mark

i just realised that if i clicked on my “point being…?” category, it came up with a page not found error.

weird…

maybe blog.com doesn’t like question marks in their categories…? who knows.

so anyways…i’ve changed it from “point being…?” to “point being…what…”

i may change it again in the future to something like “this post has little point” or something…but i dunno…

meh…

spiderman on the PS2

i also now know how to play spiderman on the PS2…but since i don’t have a PS2, i’m not gonna go out and buy it…i’m also not gonna buy it for my PC, ‘cos games that are designed for the PS2 don’t tend to port too well to the PC, and vice versa.

real-time strategies and first-person shooters should have never gone to PS2.

but, if i ever do get a PS2, i might think about buying spiderman…

i know how to make brownies!

that’s right! i had a shared lunch for my church’s drama group this afternoon, and since i’m low on cash, i thought i’d make something nice to take instead of buying a packet of biscuits. we had all the ingredients for chocolate brownies, so i made brownies! yummy yummy yummy. as it turns out though, you kinda have to let them cool for more than 10mins. at this time, they are still very squidgy and hard to move. i didn’t know this, so sort of just flopped the whole lot into a container and took it to the lunch. i think it also helps if you cook them in a shallower dish than what i did…that way, more of the mixture actually cooks.

they set well enough though, and tasted damn good! it’s kinda hard not to like something that is pretty much made of chocolate and sugar…

still got some left, so i might go eat more now, before my parents eat it all :oP

54!

btw…”ocean’s twelve” was the 54th movie i saw this year. w00t.

i highly doubt that i will see another movie tomorrow, so this years total, and my new personal best, will stand at 54. damn! that’s a lot of movies!

i could tell you how many i saw with whom, but since my comp died, i lost the spreadsheet <nerrrrd> with all that info on it.

next movie i hope to see: “the incredibles”

ocean’s twelve

saw “ocean’s twelve” tonight. not as great as i thought it would be. it just didn’t have the same zing as “ocean’s 11″ i have to say. some very good bits in it, but just not as good. i don’t think that it’s worthy of buying on DVD. that’s how i tend to judge movies these days. really great movies, i will go and buy on DVD. movies that were good, but not great, i’ll put on my “i’ll buy ‘em when i get rich” list…also known as the “people can buy me these for my birthday” list. movies that aren’t great, if i get it as a present, then sweet, but i won’t put it on any lists. movies that just plain suck, i prolly won’t even accept as gifts, or if i do, i will sell it to Real Groovy…

nobody better ever buy me “unbreakable”. ever.

anyways…i d’loaded Eric Prydz - call on me (eric prydz vs. retarded funk calling mix) couldn’t help it. i needed to listen to it…i really want all my mp3s back. i had up to 2GB of them i think…might not seem like a lot to some people, but i really enjoyed listening to them, and do you have any idea of how much hassle i’d have to go through to get them all back? i prolly can’t even remember them all…or maybe i can…? hmm…still not gonna go on a d’loading spree just yet. hopefully this data recovery guy will get back to me with the software i need…

i think that’s about it. spent most of today looking at cute little animated woodland creatures being killed in various ways. some of them are quite funny…if you’re warped enough that is…
if you wanna see what i’m on about, go to Happy Tree Friends and check it out.
be warned: extreme levels of cartoon violence!

I, Robot

i’m currently watching all the special features on my new “I, Robot” DVD. well…not currently right now, ‘cos right now i’m typing this, but you get the point :o) luckily for me, i happened to have 10 stamps on my “buy 10 - get 1 free” Whitcoulls DVD card, so used it to get myself “I, Robot”.

it’s pretty cool looking at how they did all the special effects and all…and the movie is damn sweet!

as of yet, i haven’t actually told anyone else about my blog, so i might go and do that now…maybe i’ll be able to get more hits, and won’t have to keep refreshing my page to make the hit counter go up. does it even have a hit counter? i dunno…prolly not.

oh well…now i need to figure out which category to post this into. i think that’s the hardest bit…coming up with categories for all my posts. i’ll prolly stick this under general ramblings.

additional

they don’t give you many font options, do they…at least all my ‘ punctuation hasn’t been converted to /’ like it was in my options…weird.

i picked the pebbles pic as my big header pic ‘cos it was the least crappy one…and i don’t think they let you use your own pics…dunno about that. i’ll have to check it out.

besides. i don’t have any pics on my comp, ‘cos i can’t access one of my my freakin’ hard drives! crappy partition errors!

currently waiting for some computer dude to send me some data recovery software so i can recover all my e-mails and mp3s. and i had just got Eric Prydz’s song - call on me, which completely kicks ass! now i have to wait for it to come on the radio…and even then, it’s only the 3min radio edit, not the 8min extended mix.

oh well…

meh…

the essential 1st entry

well…i might as well give this a go. everyone else seems to be, and i want to bow to peer pressure while i still have peers…

as i s’pose everyone states when they start a blog - i have no idea how this is going to go, or how long it’ll last, blah blah…

so yeh. at the mo, i have no job, and spend a lot of time sitting in front of my computer doing nothing. i might as well put that time to some good time-wasting use, and what better to waste good time with, than a blog!

maybe i’ll write a lot of stuff here and then send out the web address to everyone…that way, when people come and look at my blog, they’ll think “wow…it’s been going for ages! he must work very hard on it!”

hahaha…in the immortal words of the Tui ads - “yeah right!”

anyways…i’m gonna go publish this and refrsh my test page to see what it looks like…i should prolly also go to bed. always a good thing :oP

i have a signature i could use, but i can’t be bothered typing it in after every entry, so i’ll type in in here, then prolly never again.
