i hate the new blog.com editor. i’m sure there’s some good reasons why they changed, but it sucks.

painted this morning. nearly finished everything. only had one more coat of paint to do. spent the afternoon finishing the editing of the Team X training videos. even added an easter egg to the DVD menu. it took me so freaking long to get the right picture in the right format with the right transparent background, just so i could hide it as a secret button. it’ll be easier next time. set the 2nd DVD to burn.

watched TV for the rest of the night while i waited for my DVD to burn. it did, so i can go to bed and get some sleep now.

painted for a couple of hours this morning. got the 2nd undercoat on the last of the windows. left Sam on his own while i went into Wgtn to catch up with Fi over a frappuccino. it was cool. we haven’t caught up for a while.

went DVD shopping later. decided against buying a couple of DVDs that were on special at Whitcoulls, ‘cos i wouldn’t've gotten enough bonus stamps. bought Men In Black II for $10 instead. nowhere in Wgtn seemed to have MIB on DVD. meh…

came home and helped Sam put the final touches of lovely green paint on the trellis. watched a lot of the MIB II special features later. watched some of the movie, but switched to TV to watch Grey’s Anatomy.

well, my DVD burnt perfectly. sweetness! one more to go.

went to church this morning. helped run a game of touch rugby for the 14-17 year olds. i ended up not really doing anything, but it was alright. went to a ‘friends and family’ BBQ for one of our family friends who got married yesterday. ate copious amounts of meat, and no amounts of vegetables…hmm, that seems familiar.

came home and d’loaded some cool WarCraft III single player maps. played them all afternoon.

Jen bought me my b’day present today…only a few weeks late. she got me another pair of jeans. she informs me that they’ll loosen up if i wear them lots, and then i’ll be able to sit down without winding myself…

played Deus Ex for a while this morning. then i spent pretty much the rest of the day editing the Team X training videos. recorded them all in full DV glory to my hard drive, so each hour-long video is about 15GB. good thing Dad invested in a 160GB hard drive a while ago…

had a lot of issues with the DVD menu. Pinnacle kept screwing up my button order, and wanted the wrong buttons to go to the wrong chapters.

gave up and went and joined the rest of my street at a neighbourhood BBQ. chatted to a few peeps. after eating copious amounts of meat, and no amounts of vegetables, i came back to my computer and somehow managed to sort out my menu problem. luckily, another problem arose.

i couldn’t just have everything going right, now could i?

gave up and watched xXx: The Next Level on DVD with a couple of guys. it was awesome with surround sound.

managed to fix the other problem with the videos, and started to burn a DVD. hopefully, everything will work out nicely, and by about 2:00am tomorrow morning, i should have a nice working DVD with no screwy sound problems (like i got the last time i tried to burn a DVD).

i’m not really a fan of the new editor that blog.com has implemented. it uses <p> tags instead of <br> tags, which IMO have the tendancy to screw things around a lot more.

painted today. by myself. for 8 hours. i think the tops of my feet are now sunburnt.

made up for it by going out and seeing ‘Aeon Flux’ with Jon, Carl and Steve. Charlize Theron is hot.

erm…that’s about it, really. watched Rove when i got home. it was funnier this week. that’s good.

Sam was sick today, so i had to do the final bits of undercoating by myself…i had 3 hours from when i started to when it started raining. got all the windows done. took a 3 hour lunch break, then finished the rest of the painting later.

tomorrow, i get to do another coat of undercoat!

watched a lot of my America video footage later. man, i filmed a whole lotta crap! it’s amazing that when you film something, you don’t think it sucks, but when you watch it years later, you think “what the heck was i thinking?!?”

there was probably a lot more better stuff i could’ve got on tape. oh well…next time.

went bowling tonight. i won both games. 140-something and 150-something.

went and picked up the Team X video camera and training vidoes this evening so i can make copies for the Papakura team to help them train their n00bs.

on a whim, i decided to try my America vids in the camera, and they worked! sweetness! now after 1 1/2 years i can finally watch what i taped over there. unfortunately, the software on my computer seems to be having issues when i try and record my videos. but i can watch them on the camera fine. weird.

stupid NTSC and PAL formatting. if all else fails, i’ll have to try and record to VHS…

only after sampling the paint did we find out that it was poisonous…

we got most of the undercoat done. we just have to finish around a few windows tomorrow, then do some more sanding, then we should be ready to paint for real.
