Stomp

got my haircut today. exciting stuff! wooo! broke up my excitement by playing Half-Life and Tiberian Sun throughout the day. picked up Kaiona later and we came back to my place and watched Resident Evil: Apocalypse. great choice of movie :o)

went into Wgtn after and met up with Dad. we went and saw Stomp. it was awesome! that must be a pretty cool job - touring the world and percussionising…it’d be pretty tiring though.

ch-ch-ch-changes

went to Feilding today with the team for our last 2 classes. some of the kids liked the Summary class, and some found it boring. it was cool to see how much a couple of the kids had changes from last term by putting into practice things we’ve taught them. hopefully, they’ll keep doing it and be better off for it.

one of the kids in my small group who usually causes fights and arguments was today preventing fights and arguments. that’s awesome!

came back to the office and we did more admin stuff. the team can’t leave tomorrow (last day of term) until everything is finished. (un?)fortunately, i had to come home tonight, so i miss out on more admin stuff…but also on hanging out with the team for one more day.

fudge is good

had an office day at Team X today, ‘cos i wasn’t teaching. there were 4 of us who stayed at the office and did office stuff. me and Ben filled in assessments on really badly made Excel spreadsheets. i think i’m going to take some time out and improve on the template for next term…

i finally got around to buying some fudge today from the cool fudge shop in Palmie. i’ve been saying that i’ll buy some since last term, but never got around to it…

watched Lost and Prison Break tonight. both were cool. it sucks that Michael went crazy and shot himself and 2 chicks on Lost. i never really liked him…

4 shared lunches…

i drove up to Palmie last night, ‘cos all my classes are happening this week on Tues and Thurs. had 4 classes today. luckily, they were all the Summary class, so we just ran a boys vs. girls quiz show with questions about all our programmes, then had a shared lunch…with each class. it was kinda good that most of the kids forgot to bring food, ‘cos all that we had left at the end of the day was a few bags of chips.

i tried to convince people to go and see a movie tonight, ‘cos it’s cheap movies on Tuesdays, but they all had other things on, or were going to a church session, which they didn’t want to skip, even though it was as boring as heck.

i tried. maybe we’ll go and see a movie tomorrow.

ARK v1.1

work was cool today. i finally got to assemble one of the Salor3’s this afternoon. then i ran out of time to do any more…but, when i go back to work next week, there should be plenty for me to do. although, maybe i should be worried that what i’m assembling isn’t what i’ve been told i’m assembling…check out the name of the circuit board that’s part of the Salor3…

ark v1.1…remember Doom? maybe this is some kind of sophisticated matter transporter!

i didn’t make the circuit board, but those plugs? yeh…i plugged them in. and those cable ties? yeh…i tied them around the cables. it’s a lot more fun than doing the same thing over and over again a thousand times.

…but how long is a while?!?

went out for lunch after church to Rebecca’s house (she went to Compass) with Jono and Megan who were down from Palmie for the weekend.

came home and played C&C Tiberian Sun for a while, then Half-Life for a while also. then, for another while, i watched TV. it’s great being able to use non-descript periods of time for everything :o)

click and shoot

saw ‘Click’ with Carl today. it was cool. made me think what would happen if i had power like that. i would probably abuse the hell out of it, but wouldn’t fast forward anything…at least, that’s the theory. if the remote had smart learning capabilities, it’d probably end up pausing my life every time some hot chick walked past…

went out to Laser Force with Frequency tonight. it was great fun. i scored the highest on my team in both team games i played, and won the leader’s free-for-all. didn’t get the highest score overall though…oh what i’d give for a decent HUD and crosshair.

my caterpillar was worth $6…

went into Wgtn after work today and met up with Jon and Si. we tried the diet coke and mentos thing, but had limited success, due to lack of proper geysering material.

we played pool later. that was fun. Su joined us afterwards and we went to The Green Parrot for dinner. i scored my meal for $10 ‘cos i found a caterpillar in the salad :o) it’s a good thing i didn’t eat the salad…

went for a random drive later to Glenfield or somewhere and found a road leading to nowhere. those are always fun to try and turn around in when you get to the gate at the end…

tfd-101.exe

went to Turner’s Car Auctions after work with Dad today to check it out. we didn’t end up buying anything, but it was interesting to look around. who knows…maybe next time we go, we’ll come home with a car.

came home and watched TV, then played a bit of Red Alert. i d’loaded another patch for C&C The First Decade that made the RA movies work fine. as it turns out, the 1.02 patch didn’t include the 1.01 fixes. that’s a little weird. you’d think that they’d have sorted out the whole games patching thing where newer patches should include previous patch fixes.

Prison Break…weee-ooo-eee-ooo

so i took my mp3 player to work today, and then didn’t end up working upstairs anyway. dumb! i still listened to it with my headphones, ironically. it’s cool though, ‘cos i can plug things like discmans or iPods into it, and listen to even more music that way…but if i’m not going to be using it for it’s speakers, then i might as well just plug my headphones straight into the other music device.

watched Prison Break tonight. it’s pretty cool. i can see why a lot of people like it, and i hope that it doesn’t go the way that so many other shows with potential have gone -> crazy. i was reading a comment by the creator, and he was thinking it’d be cool that they escape through the sewrs at the end of the season, and open a grate and who’s face should they see, but Jack from Lost. then the 2nd season of Prison Break would be set on a desert island :oD

Lost has great potential, but is teetering towards crazy. i hope it doesn’t start sucking.
