i resorted to using bebo to procrastinate…

went into Wgtn today for my Praxis cluster groups. missed my train, so i used the extra time (30mins) to read my RAP reading, but by the time i got into Wgtn, i still hadn’t finished it…oh well.

read some of my Reflective Prac reading in the 10mins before the group started. turns out only one person had actually read the whole thing, so i was sweet. read my Counselling reading at luchtime.

don’t you hate it when you tell yourself that you’re going to do something, but you know that you’re not actually going to do it anyway? i told myself that i was going to do more work on my assignments when i got home, but i didn’t. i procrastinated.

procrastination techniques used:

  • check e-mail
  • visit bash.org and oots
  • post letter
  • check e-mail
  • eat pie
  • watch TV
  • check e-mail
  • swear that i’ll get up early tomorrow and do some
  • play StarCraft
  • have grandparents arrive from Dunedin
  • talk with family
  • check e-mail
  • download latest version of DOSBox
  • watch old school Future Crew demos
  • play old school DOS games like Hi-Octane
  • check e-mail
  • update bebo site (i don’t even use bebo!)
  • post this blog entry

oh look, now it’s too late to think about doing study. i’d better go to bed.

That is the ultimate! You have much more developed skill than I adam, my procrastination technique consists of,

    *Blog
    *Check email
    *Check email
    *Blog
    *TV

yeh, maybe. but i think i’d rather have skills in other areas. having 20 levels of procrastination isn’t very useful in any area of anything…no computer game has procrastination among its skill options…

Ah believe me I already have two degrees and am working towards a third, sometimes a bit of procrastination is okay :)
