Micetro: so good, you should buy a ticket

went to Avalon today for Team X. ran our Line of Choice programme. Lané and Marie doing the WWHR were great. had a pretty cruisy afternoon back at the office.

went to WIT tonight. it was great. ran through the Micetro format. it's our show that's coming up over the next few weeks. it's going to be a great show. you should come along.

if you want to come along, let me pre-sell you a ticket. that way, you get a guaranteed seat, and i get more of a chance to win the prize for most tickets sold. it's a double movie pass to the Gold Lounge, and you know how much i love movies!!!

please buy a ticket from me...

back in the habit

so i'm going to try and get back into the habit of blogging regularly again. i figure that 'cos my blog is part of my e-mail sig, that i should keep people updated...

not that it's going to be enthralling stuff all the time...or most of the time.

who cares.

had Team X today. we were in Tui Glen. played some weird chick version of gridiron at lunchtime where every handling error or unfinished play meant that we had to start back at halfway...no one scored any touchdowns, 'cos it was 'touch gridiron'. you had to get the ball to the endzone in one play without getting tagged, or had to start again :o)

failed my WOF 'cos it turns out i've got two nails in one of my tyres. i'd better get those removed. i think i have time on Thurs to do it. my tyre better not crap out on me, 'cos i don't have a wheelbrace to change my tyre if it does...and i think my spare has a slow leak.

came home and played World of WarCraft for a bit. caught up on some TV watching from last week, and watched Heroes. maybe i'll become interested in it again. i might see if i can find the first season somewhere when i've got time to watch it...i need more time!

comp problem #5,692

had a fairly average day today. stayed at home to do work, then didn't do any. had computer probs. again. the problems didn't stop me from doing work...but i spent most of the day trying to fix them.

ended up playing STALKER for a while.

called in my tech support (Jo). she was coming over anyway to pick up some stuff for WIT, so she looked at my comp. again. and fixed it. again.

thanks Jo.

we watched Madagascar on DVD, then she left. i mucked round online and checked out some stick figure animations. haha...the things stick figures can do...

if you're bored, then just look for: xiao xiao, battlefield, or animator vs animation. they're all good.

winning and losing

played a couple of games of Catan with Mum & Dad this morning. Dad won the first, i won the second. it was good fun.

played STALKER for the rest of the afternoon. i've gotten up to the point where the map that came with the collector's
edition i bought no longer tells me what's around. i'm in uncharted territory. in copmuter games, that usually means less health packs and stronger enemies. a lot more stronger enemies.

went to Jon's tonight for a BBQ. Dan, his partner and their kid turned up, so did Si and Steve. it was pretty cool. sat around eating and chatting. watched the Wgtn-Auck NPC final. Wgtn lost. played poker later, but had The Fifth Element playing in the background. in the end, no one was really focusing on poker. it was the saem French version that we watched nearly three years ago. three years on, and we're all a little older and want to go to bed earlier, so we didn't have time to stay up and watch any cheesy 1966 sci-fi movies...maybe we can do that this New Year's...

cruisy...

had a pretty sweet day at Team X today. didn't really do a lot. did a bit of programme updating, class assessments, finished the newsletter, etc. also watched Robin Hood: Men in Tights on DVD. it was great. Whetu's away fro the next couple of weeks, so it's just me and the girls, so if we don't have a lot to do, we can be pretty relaxed.

not a lot different from usual :oD

went to Whetu and Leanne's wedding rehearsal later. me and Lané are going to video it. and i think i'm going to end up being the sound/video tech guy on the day. i was the only one who seemed to know what they were doing around the computer today. all good :o)

came home and ate tea. watched TV, then played Catan with Mum & Dad. i was on 9 points for so long, but then Mum won.

meh...

6hrs of pedanticness

ahh...the joys of working from home :o)

didn't start working until 12:30ish, due to my excessive sleeping in, followed by the watching of some Pulp Fiction DVD special features.

when i did start working, however, i surprised myself and did about 6hrs straight. i've now nearly finished re-writing and re-formatting the first two Team X programmes. i'm trying to be really pedantic and precise so that everyone can have their own copies of the programmes, and if anyone wants to add anything, it'll be really easy. also, for new people on team, it'll be easy for them to see the programme laid out on paper beforehand.

spent the evening watching TV. i don't watch a lot of TV these days...but there's still a few shows that i like. yay Survivor! haha. and Pulp Sport is actually pretty good. i've never really watched it before, but i might have to start...but that'll have to wait for a few weeks, 'cos i think i'm busy next Thurs.

homework

had a pretty casual day today. slept in, then went to Team X for a few hours. i'm finally going through all the programme stuff and re-writing it all. haha...a little late, seeing as it's the end of the year, but think how prepared we'll be for next year. i brought it all home with me so that i don't have to drive in tomorrow or next Weds/Thurs. if i can save 70km worth of petrol and an hour's worth of driving, i'm happy.

came home and played STALKER. ate tea, then watched Pulp Fiction. played more STALKER, then mucked around online. i'm going to sleep in tomorrow as well. the joys of working from home :o)

AIS TX WIT

went to Avalon Intermediate today with Team X. it was cool. ran our Self Worth programme with our three classes. it was cool. hung out at lunchtime with the kids. it's a bit different than other schools we've been to, 'cos we're not teaching all of one year group. we're teaching 3/9 classes, so we only really know 1/3 of the kids. still, kids from other classes come up to us and ask us who we are, so we're getting our name out across the school. we might be abck next year to teach all of the classes...we'll have to wait and see how this trial term goes.

back at the office, we made spiders (coke and ice-cream) and played Catan to farewell Whetu. he's getting married on Sunday, so won't be with the Team for the next couple of weeks. honeymoon and all that.

went to WIT tonight. we ran through the Micetro format, which we're running for our next shows coming up in September. me and Steve directed tonight, so i didn't get a chance to play. that's alright. i might be helping out with the Capital E Halloween event in a couple of weeks. that'd be fun. i'd get to dress up and mix and mingle with kids for a few hours :o)

Tui Glen

Team X started for another week. Brooke joined us today. he's volunteering on Mondays. so with Rose still away, that means we've got me, Whetu, Lané, Marie and Brooke on Mondays. not a bad haul.

went to Tui Glen this morning and taught our two classes. they're a great bunch of kids :o) ran our G2KTX programme. it's going to be a little weird for a while, 'cos usually we run the same programme with classes all week, but tomorrow we're running our Self Worth programme with our Avalon classes, 'cos we started with them last week. i'm sure it won't have any adverse effects on our team...

came home and cooked lasagne for tea.

spent the night playing STALKER and chatting on MSN.
