sort your life out

went to Team X today. finished and printed the assessments for this term. finished writing my Avalon certificates. went through a bunch of stuff with the team and with Whetu. next year is looming already...scary.

came home and mucked around online for a while. Ann, Dan and Dan's parents came over for tea. the two families met to discuss the engagement party and the wedding. since i am heavily involved in neither, i retired to my room where i watched TV and played WoW for a while. i think they were talking for about 5hrs about stuff...

we now have one month to go in 2oo7. four and a bit weeks. 31 days. 744hrs (approx). and i'm still sorting out my life. i will forever be sorting out my life. i would very much like for my life to be sorted one day. i don't even know how i s'posed to sort my life out.

i'll start by putting my new fave song on repeat: Roman Flügel - geht's noch (steve angello vs. who's who mix)

i've been listening to this song on repeat for about three days now. i like it. it's trance

meh...

F'ing TV shows

went to EMC again today. did the same thing that i did yesterday. it was cool. i like being able to work on jobs that take a while. it means that i don't have to repeat the same thing hundreds of times a day. makes the day seem a little less tedious :o) in a couple of weeks, i should have enough money to pay my parents back-rent for the past eight weeks.

don't you love it when your parents try to "acclimatise" you to living in the real world by doing helpful things like charging you rent.

i need to move out of my house next year. bring it on, real world!

finished watching my Fastlane episodes when i got home. it sucked that it ended on a cliffhanger and then FOX had to go and cancel the show. boo FOX! $2.6 million per episode. just because that's more money per episode than i'll ever see in my lifetime doesn't mean you have to go and cancel a show!

FOX has a great history of moving great TV shows to crappy timeslots, or showing episodes out of order, and then cancelling them because the ratings are dropping. Futurama, Firefly and Fastlane just to name a few. take a hint, FOX! put the F'ing shows back on TV!!!

Jack and The Beanstalk

went to EMC today. spent the day making my hands smell like solder. i'm going to work there for a couple of days a week 'til Christmas...just a little bit more cash. it'd be even more if i didn't have to pay secondary tax.

stupid tax.

went out with Mum and Dad tonight to see a pantomime. we saw Jack and The Beanstalk. it was great fun :o)

the letterbox of fun

went to Team X today. we went to Avalon and ran our Comfort Zones programme with our three classes. i was pretty exhausted by the end of it. came back to the office and had a power nap, before doing my assessments.

went to WIT tonight. it was awesome fun. since the year is winding down, we played "the letterbox of fun". basically, everyone writes down games or scenes or suggestions they'd like to see or perform, and then they get drawn out of a nearby recepticle (in this case - the letterbox of fun) and then people perform. hilarity ensued.

me and Steve got to perform not one, but two fantastic robot vs. Godzilla scenes. for the last two years, our idea has been shut down by the rest of WIT, but our scenes tonight were so awesome. we converted a few people. i'm the robot andSteve is Godzilla. we also got to do a pirates vs. ninjas scene. dead pirates = undead pirates and dead ninjas = spirits, so no one ever really wins...

i think it'll be much the same at WIT next week, but i think we've got a Team X Whanau Evening next Ruesday, which will be cool too. i wish i could do both...

semi-chaotic

had a pretty full house at Team X today. me, Whetu, Lané, Rose, Marie and Brook. plus Katie, Nicole, Ben and Andy came down from Palmy for the day. wow! then we had a lot of people doing different things:

i took my team minus Whetu to Tui Glen. we were joined by Nicole and Ben. Ran our Comfort Zones programme. it went okay in the first class. then Whetu and Andy joined us for 1/2 of lunchtime, then Whetu, Andy and Ben left and those of us that remained taught our second class. it was cool.

came back to the office where people came and went for an hour or so before the remaining members of the Palmy team went shopping, with Lané and Brook in tow, Whetu and Rose laft, and i stayed at the office trying to sort out a bunch of assessment stuff. semi-chaotic :o)

came home and just chilled.

went with Dad to some Postitive Parenting evening that was run by Pio Terei and John Cowan. they were cool and what they were saying was good stuff. i don't have any kids of my own to apply it to right now, but maybe i can apply something to the students i'm working with. most of it was about being positive and using positive language, which i try to do anyway. sweet.

bored -> über-cool in three easy steps

went to church this morning. it was mostly boring. came home again. it was mostly boring.

i found some things to do...sent some e-mails, added more movie ticket stubs to my collection book, and browsed the internet for a long time.

got more bored, so i changed my mouse cursor to something more StarCrafty:

then i personalised a whole lot of folders with different icons.

yep...mostly boring.

then i un-bored myself by watching Fastlane episodes. good old McG (the director...he also directed the Charlie's Angel's movies). apparently, he's directing Terminator 4! a Terminator movie (cool) directed by McG (cool) can only equal über-coolness. there'll be bullet time and slow-mo effects and explosions all over the place! hooray!

treasures

Jo came round this morning and we watched National Treasure on DVD. i'm so going to go and watch the sequel when it's released :o) went to BK for lunch afterwards.

i went to Lané's Praxis graduation this afternoon. the rest of the Team X crew were there, so that was cool. Lané graduated with distinction. nice! i think she'd planning to do the diploma next year, so i might have a friend in some of my courses :o)

came home and played WoW all night. it's now 10:40ish and i still haven't had tea. i might go and eat something now...

focus...focras...focrastination!

went to Team X today. it was just me, Whetu and Rose. sorted out some stuff for next year and i finished writing one class's certificates. we played Catan later, then Whetu and Rose left. i stayed at the office and wrote another class's certificates. two down, three to go. i had to leave, 'cos i was starting to zone out and lose focus.

previously, in prior terms, when that has happened, i have procrastinated. fantastically. i should take a photo of my artwork and post it here so you can all see how great an artist i am when i am s'posed to be doing other things. i had to take the top sheet off my pad at my desk, 'cos i didn't want to procrastinate and add more to my picture!

came home and played WoW and watched TV.

episodes

spent the day at home today. did about 3hrs work on Team X programmes this morning.

bought 'Pirates of The Caribbean: At World's End' on DVD later. watched it, then through all the special features. it's cool. spent the rest of the day mucking round online and watching the last five episodes of season three of Dr. Who. i might move back to Fastlane now. i've still got all the episodes on my comp, and i never finished watching them all.

...not to mention, i've still got three or four seasons of Star Trek: Voyager to watch...

...i'd hate to be watching episodes of my life right now. it must be pretty boring. maybe it'll get more interesting around Christmas or New Years...maybe i'll get my regular yearly Christmas special about being depressed and lonely.

Ann and Dan have set a date for their wedding. March 16. i'd like to be able to take my girlfriend to the wedding. that gives me 4 1/2 months to make my life a bit more exciting and interesting and less monotonous...
