my cool weekend
it was our last day of Team X on Friday. we spent most of the day setting up for our Christmas party. i finished our newsletter and sent that out too. The Palmy team came down and we went for a walk up a hill. had some time to reflect on the year and just chill out. it was pretty cool. came back to the office and played Buzz on the PS2. even with everyone ganging up on me, i still won both games :o)
we had our Christmas party. about 35 people showed up. it was cool. a night of fun, friends, family and food. people started to leave and we were packing up ’til about 10:30pm
Saturday:
i was s’posed to meet up with Kate, Ann’s flatmate for lunch, but she had to go bridesmaid dress shopping with a friend, so i played computer games instead. played Civ III for a while. i was thinking about asking Dad to buy me Civ IV for Christmas, but i really wasn’t into Civ III, so i might pass…i’m going through an off-games faze again.
went into Wgtn and met up with Kate in the afternoon. we bought smoothies, then went for a walk and sat around chatting. it was cool. i’d like to hang out with Kate more…
went to Upper Hutt to help out with Carols in The Park. it was cool. there were a bunch of kids from Maidstone there :o) i was on roving microphone duty with Kellie (who’s joining Team X next year). it was pretty cool. we got people to sing us carols. sat with various people throughout the night. had a fun time!
Sunday:
went to church this morning. it was Frquency’s last meeting. we played some games and ate some food, then all the kids got given eggs and threw them at Paul. not the smartest idea…now Paul has large bruises on his body. i’m glad they didn’t throw them at me…
came home and had a pretty cruisy afternoon. didn’t really do much. d’loaded some old school games. they’re not as good as i remember them being. alos d’loaded Revolt. and RC racing game. it’s as cool as i remember. except, the game occasionally crashes, and if it does, i lose all the race stats that i’d gathered since i last exited the game, so i have to keep quitting to save my stats.
now my fingers hurt from playing it for too long…
