church picnic

went to church this morning. it was cool. Edwin Dericutt played some music. i guess if you Google him something will come up...?

afterwards, we had a church picnic, and there were activities for one and all. i had a go on the gyroscope, and now all my muscles hurt. i guess i was trying too hard to make it spin in cool ways. it worked though. chatted with a lot of people, and got chased down and hugged by some wet girls who had been on the horizontal bungee.

had a nap when i got home, 'cos i was wasted from i don't know what. i really haven't done anything that's energy-draining this weekend...maybe it's just my old age kicking in.

hanging out with Michal

had a pretty cruisy day today. hung out with Michal. we chatted and played the Catan card game, then went and saw 'Jumper'. it was pretty cool. caem home and watched Family Guy - Stewie Griffin: The Untold Story on DVD. i wonder what the Futurama movies will be like...

went out to Paremata later and went for a walk along the beach and past the boat sheds. came home and just hung out chatting all night. it was cool. i like Michal. she's cool.

training all over again

today was the first day of Team X training in Wgtn for the 2oo8 trainees. we talked about their expectations for training, ran the Comfort Zones and Team Stars programmes that we will be running at camp next week, and had some fun. they really enjoyed it, and so did me and Whetu. it looks like it'll be a cool seven weeks :)

dropped Kellie home, then Michal came round to my place and we grabbed fish'n'chips for tea. watched Robin Hood: Men in Tights on DVD, then Stomp, then Ratatouille. yay for people watching DVDs :)

order and chaos

finished facilitating one camp for YDTW yesterday. four more to go...

me and Whetu went to a meeting with them about next weeks camp, and it went from a short meeting about activities to me re-writing the activity schecule for 2hrs or so just so that every group would actually be doing the activities we're s'posed to be facilitating, and in some semblance of order...

then i went to Team X and did some of the work i was s'posed to be doing, but that was cut short because the trainees arrived! yay! we have them for the next seven weeks, in which time we will run some great training, four camps, seven programmes in two classes in one school and a whole lot more that will make me very tired.

in the middle of that somewhere, my sister is getting married and i need to get a haircut. not necessarily in that order.

also, Blizzard may soon be releasing info about the Zerg for StarCraft II, which means that the game is getting ever so closer...

so much is happening! and i don't have enough anything to do anything!

feelings

how am i feeling?

right now i am feeling apathetic, angry, loveless, unloved, and tired.

i don't know why.

part of me doesn't care about anything. part of me is angry that i don't care. part of me is angry at everything and everyone else. part of me just doesn't like you! part of me wants to just run away and take a break from it all. part of me wants to go out and look for love in all the wrong places. part of me wishes that i wasn't Christian so that there would be no guilt about relationships. part of me loves the morals and values i have and try to stand by. part of me wishes they didn't exist.

i think right now, i'm going to listen to the part of me that wants sleep...

busy busy busy...

February will probably be a bit of a non-posting month. maybe March too...i'm busy all this week with Maidstone Intermediate camps, and i've got WIT shows for another three nights. had one tonight that went really well :)

On Sunday, Team X is leaving for a week to go and help facilitate a Stars camp for the YDTW, and we won't be back 'til next week, which is when the Team X trainees come down to Wgtn and we train them for seven weeks...

i think i have Thurs night free, and then maybe a day or two in March...book me now!

uninspiring heading

went to church this morning. i didn't really find the speaker inspiring. sitting in one place for a long time listening to the same person talk for said long time doesn't really work for me if they're not an engaging speaker. this morning, he wasn't.

i'm glad that in Team X, we switch our presenters around and do a whole lot of different things and have fun with what we teach. i would love for Team X to teach me.

talked with a few people afterwards and invited more people to next weeks Micetro shows. you should come! they'll be great!

came home and mucked around on my comp. played the Half-Life 2 demo that i found was installed on Steam, until it broke and Steam didn't want to run any of my games anymore. that's okay, i clocked Sam & Max last night...turns out that i did play computer games to stave off the hunger.

played the Catan card game with Mum later. we actually finished a game! Mum won by one point. i'm sure there's a whole lot of strategy that could go into that game...i'll work on it slowly over the next few years :)

Sam & Max Episode 4

spent most of today on my computer. skipped most of my meals. d'loaded some songs and some games from Steam, because i could. i'm currently playing through Sam & Max Episode 4...it's pretty cool.

went to another Micetro show tonight. this one was at The Rock church. it was fun. i came 2nd.

now i am feeling kinda hungry...i might play computer games to stave off the hunger...or i could go to bed. there's a novel idea.

bringing improv to the 'burbs...

well, my e-mail is still down and it's annoying :(

went to Team X today. worked on the Uniqueness programme all morning. played Catan with Katie and Rose in the afternoon, then helped Katie with some filing.

played the Catan board game with Mum again tonight. we didn't finish again, 'cos i had a WIT show i had to be in. i was hosting the show in Linden tonight. it went pretty well. we had 44 people in the audience, which is good for Linden. people came round to my place afterwards and we hung out and chatted. fun times :)

über-üpdate

yeh. i've been slack. i have done a lot in the last few whiles, and have had a lot of late nights, and since i mainly blog at night, i decide to skip it and just go to bed.

and everything i've done, i haven't taken photos of! so this is a photo-less update...

so...what have i been up to?

well, there was the week in Auckland for Team X training. it was cool. met all the new trainees for 2oo8. they're a great bunch. Wgtn has four, and Palmy has three. none for Auckland at this stage...

we did fun things and played games and learnt stuff and played Catan and stayed up late. me and Katie caught up with Mell. went to her place and hung out in her spa. it was primo!

me, Katie, Whetu and Rose drove home on Friday. the great thing about having other drivers in the van was that i didn't have to drive all the way! yay!

on Saturday and Sunday, i attended an improv workshop, run by Patti Stiles. same chick who ran this one. it was awesome! i had a blast. after the course, i went shopping and bought the Die Hard Collection DVD Boxset. 2-Disc Special Editions of all four Die Hard movies. score! on Saturday night, a few of the people from the course went to Derek's for a BBQ and hung out and chatted the night away. went out for drinks on Sunday after the course. i came home to watch CSI, and apparently, things got pretty wild after i left. tequila and improvisers don't mix well...

Monday was my birthday! i turned 26. i'm now in the 2nd quarter of my life. wh00p, wh00p! had a cruisy day at home, then went shopping with Mum in Wgtn. bought a whole new wardrobe of pants and shirts and a belt. caught up with Jon and Si and we saw 'Meet the Spartan's'. it was pretty crap. We walked into another theatre afterwards and ended up watching most of 'No Country For Old Men'. it was weird. not a good night for movies. went to Hog's Breath Café for tea with Jon and Si, my family and the Team X crew. it was cool.

went to Team X for the day on Tuesday and did some work.

Wednesdayw as Waitangi day. stayed at home and watched Die Hard 4.0 special features. read through the instructions for my new 'Catan - The Card Game' game so i know how to play it. went round to Katie's later. ate tea, then mucked around. me and her family had a round of the dictionary game. me and katie came last equal. we watched Wild Wild West later.

and that brings us to today!

went to Team X again and did some more work on our Uniqueness programme. also did some work on some training stuff that i'm going to be training the new trainees with when they come down to Wgtn for seven weeks. it'll be fun :)
